Eco Clubs plays an important role in creating environmental awareness amongst the future generation. The main motive of GO-GREEN club is to nurture and teach the importance of environment to students.

ECO CLUB OF BET COLLEGE

On 19th Aug 2013 Eco club was inaugurated in our BET Sadathunnisa College The chief guest of the day was Mr.Padmanabha Iyer, Manager of Bank of Baroda. The main aim of establishing the Eco Club was to conserve the natural resources and the natural environment to create and Eco friendly environment and create awareness of biodiversity conservation and local environmental issues among children and to create a clean and green consciousness among students through various innovative methods.

  • To motivate the students to keep their surroundings green and clean by undertaking plantation of trees.
  • To promote culture of conservation of water by minimizing the use of water.
  • To maintain cleanliness in and around the campus.
  • Educate students to create awareness amongst public and sanitary workers, so as to stop the indiscriminate dumping and burning of waste which causes respiratory diseases.

To be the best institution for protecting and creating environment awareness by educating the youth, offering programs and resources for the students.

Major Activities of the club:

  • Earth day celebrations done by the students of the college.
  • Every year tree plantation is initiated by the club.
  • The club organizes visit to various park and for motivating environmental awareness among students and staff.
  • Also cleaning the environment with participating in cleansing the park.
  • Planting of trees and cleaning the college was done by the students.
  • Training programs held by the Eco club members to aware the students about the environment.
  • Visiting the Waste segregation program by the students as to learn and implement in college and homes.
  • Regular check of cleaning water is done by the institution.
  • Recycling and usage of bottles done by the students and used in the college.
  • Organised a trip to the national park and bird sanctuary for the students in order to aware students how to conserve the wildlife.
