Annual Alumni was held virtually due to pandemic with the theme “Memories Never Fade”. This Meet is organized every year to fulfil the aim of academicians and professionals to build a bridge between the college life and career life and to make the present students to be more proactive to face the current challenges of the competitive professional world. It also serves the purpose of the Alumni maintaining contact with their Alma mater.
Mr Syed Tahsin Ahmed, KAS (Rtd.) and Member, Internal Quality Assurance Cell in his address expressed his happiness about the development and accomplishments of the college and expressed that Alumni can contribute in a big way in taking their Alma mater to the next level by giving donations, engaging classes for the slow learners, instituting awards, organizing job fairs, donating books to the Library etc. He also gave a call to make the Alumni Association pro-active and hoped that in future the Association will take the lead in organizing many events. He added that the Alumni are the brand ambassadors of the college.
Alumni were happy seeing the progress of the college through social media platforms of WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook. Alumni got charged up at this virtual homecoming enabling them to connect with each other and their Alma mater from the comfort and safety of their homes. The highlight of the day was “Ice breaker activities” which lightened the mood and energized the event. It also reminisced the good old days while making new memories. The Alumni also shared their thoughts as to how to make the Alumni association more productive and vibrant.
Prior to the annual alumni meet, the event registration details were obtained from the alumni through various social media platforms. After the meeting, feedback was obtained from all the participants.
Dr Niloofar Mirza, Vice Principal, Mrs Aysha Thasneem and Ms Sadiya Begum faculty from Humanities stream were involved in the successful conduct of the event.. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks.
