As a part of NSS activities NSS camp was held at Al Ameen Residential Schools Hoskote with the theme “Youth for Mass Literacy”.

The camp was inaugurated by watering the plant by Alhaj Zameer Pasha IAS(Rtd) Chairman Al Ameen Residential School trust and in his inaugural address motivated the students to work sincerely and take up the responsibility of developing our society, wished the volunteers good luck and told them to make the best use of the camp as a learning opportunity to serve the community. Ms Sadiya Begum Assistant professor formally welcomed the gathering, Mr Syed Ejaz Ahmed Trustee Al Ameen Residential Schools, Hon Members of BET Mr Abdul Jabbar, Mohammed Kareemuddin, Mr G R Riyaz Ahmed, Mr KM Mujeeb Ahmed and Hon Secretary Mohammed Saifulla were present on the ocassion. The program concluded with thanks by Assistant Professor Department of Hindi Ms Shabana A Lakkundi.

A special team of specialist Doctors, Nurses from Shifa Hospital had organised a free medical camp and offered free consultations and checkups in ENT, Eye, Dental, General Medicine, Speech and hearing to nearly 400 visitors including the students of Al Ameen, free medicines were distributed and the ones who were in need of advanced care were referred to Shifa Hospital, and all this was done with the help of NSS Volunteers.

During the camp other activities that were conducted for the volunteers were making the campus of Al Ameen Hoskote plastic free, awareness rally on literacy, helping in kitchen, serving food, taking tuitions to the school children, performed short street plays at Vijayanagar and Gatkenahalli emphasizing the importance of education and distributed the basic requirements for education books, pens, colors, notebooks to young children to study in schools and get good education and environment In additon to all these friendly throwball match between NSS Volunteers and teachers, cultural programmes and bone fire in the evenings was organized.

Valedictory function of the NSS Camp was marked with the celebration of the success of the camp. Dr Tarana Noor Khan, Mohammed Fazil, Syed Ejaz Ahmed and Mr Abdul Rehman trustess of AL Ameen Residential school trust graced the occasion NSS camp programme officer Ms Tabassum welcomed the gathering and gave a report of the activities undertaken in the camp, students shared their views regarding their experiences they had during the camp. Dr Tarana Noor Khan Trustee Al Ameen Residential School trust & Diabetologist and Director Indian Cardiac and Diabetic Centre, enlightened the students about the real meaning of NSS as nationality and serviceability for the path of peaceful and successful life, encouraged volunteers for taking up more social activities support for the social activities. Mr Abdul Rehman Trustee inspired the voluneers giving examples of successful women like Indra Nooyi who has done good on global scale, The Camp ended .Ms Shabana A Lakkundi presented vote of thanks.
